Click the seat to Begin! An Accordion Menu will open that lets you choose materials for each panel of the seat. HOT TIP: The accordion will open to the appropriate menu item based on where you click on the seat, try it!
Current Selection is noted in each of the accordion’s title bars while the associated color swatch will be highlighted gold. Once you click on a swatch, the menu will automatically close and the seat will update to show your selection. Click the seat again to re-open the menu and change more.
Multiple Views Look in the upper-right corner of the screen for icons to change the camera view… Don’t worry, your selections will remain in place for all available seat views. Check all views to assure you’ve got everything (don’t forget you can choose a color for the Corbin logo too!)
SAVE Menu Here’s where you will find a variety of handy options to manage your designs:
Click on this Plus icon to save the current design for future reference. Save as many designs as you wish so you can easily go back and compare favorites.
Click on the Camera icon to save a picture of your design to your computer as a jpeg image. Tip: The configurator sizes to your screen so make sure you maximize your browser for largest picture size.
Use the handy Printer icon to send a copy of the page to your printer of course. You’ll be presented with a printer dialog box that let’s you choose printer and options.
Add To Cart. Click on this icon and all current selections will be passed along to the shopping cart for ordering. This will include the seat part number and full descriptions as shown.
SHARE Menu Want to show your friends what you’ve been up to or give your Significant Other a not-so-subtle hint for Christmas? Click here and you can pass it around via: Email, Facebook, Google Plus, Stumbleupon and of course Pinterest. We’ll have the Santa icon added later in the season.
What’s the Price? The price of the saddle was shown on the product page that brought you here. There is No Extra Charge for customizing your seat with the leathers and materials shown here!
Accessories This configurator will add ONLY the saddle and cover design to your shopping cart. Go back to the product page to add backrests and other accessory items to your order.
Materials Sadly, materials come and go. Sometimes our suppliers can’t get them anymore, sometimes they are discontinued because they don’t hold up to long term use. The configurator always shows what is currently available.
Stitch Patterns Very few seats have more than one stitch pattern available (excepting Hollywood Solo models). So you can change the color of the stitching, but you cannot change the pattern. The specific webpage shows the correct stitch pattern while the configurator will show a generic stitch pattern that may not be correct for your seat.
Assembly stitch Color chosen for the decorative stitching does NOT effect the thread color for the assembly stitching. In those places we automatically use the most appropriate thread color for subdued looks.
IMPORTANT: This is strictly a visualization tool!
Please understand that every seat model is different with patterns and options varying from seat to seat. These digital models (configurators) represent the concept of how your seat will be made, but not exactly how it will appear when finished. Always refer to the images of the saddle specific to your motorcycle on the appropriate product page.
We have done our best to assure the colors and materials appear on screen accurately, but all computer monitors are different and your personal settings will make a big difference. When trying to match colors to your paint or if you have concerns, please contact us for material samples. We will be happy to supply these at no charge.
You’re order will be reviewed for accuracy by one of our technical representatives once it is received. Changes may be recommended and/or required.

HAVE FUN!
It most likely will be. This is for several reasons, first our Fibertech® basepan is thicker and denser than the soft polypropylene one. Also, there may be backrest hardware built inside. Naturally our foam weighs more too, but we’ll talk about that a little later.
Our Fibertech® basepan probably has an entirely different shape than stock. That’s ok, it’s going to install just fine. Notice how it is designed to wrap over frame tubes and mold into the shape of the motorcycle. Our pan rides on small rubber bumpers, so don’t worry about your paint (just clean the bumpers once in awhile). Take a good look at the line of the seat pan… its going to fit the shape of your bike a LOT better isn’t it?
m
Take a look at the topside. Your new seat is hand tailored and most likely has genuine leather seating inserts. We use leather where it contacts your body for maximum comfort and vinyl on the sides to support the foam. Why? Vinyl doesn’t stretch like leather does, so it provides good support to the foam shape. Also, side panels are susceptible to stress marks that vinyl resists. This gives maximum durability and the comfort of genuine leather.
m
Wait a sec, don’t sit on it yet! Before you plant your tush, you HAVE to install it or risk damaging the seat edge. You’ll notice installation is similar to stock, but may not be identical. You may need to transfer brackets from your stock seat. Because our basepan is rigid some don’t require ALL of the same mounting points. In some cases installation may be slightly different than stock, but the principal will always be the same. Question? Just call us.
m
We design our seats with a much tighter tolerance and closer fit to your bodywork than stock. This makes the seat fit the body groove better and looks great once installed. Usually the first couple of installations can be slightly sticky, but when the rubber bumpers break in, it’ll be a snap. If the seat won’t latch, it’s probably because of the new bumpers… give it a smack with the ball of your hand, it’ll latch..
m
You bet! For 30 years we’ve been developing and testing foam compounds and we have found Comfort Cell® is the best at providing long term resilience, support, shock absorption, shape retention and weight dispersion. Soft foam breaks down and leaves you with no support. Our Comfort Cell is a purpose built material made specifically for motorcycle saddles. Depending on the design, we commonly run our foam almost twice as dense as stock. This is for long term resiliency and rider weight distribution. It really works but you’ll never know ’till you spend some time on it.
m
I know you’re wondering how this firm foam is going to work out. Well, consider the ergonomic shaping of the seat. This, combined with its firmness will create better weight dispersion to eliminate hot spots. After roughly 1,500 miles, Comfort Cell® will break-in and take on your shape which creates even better weight distribution. Notice also how the shape is designed for maximum support with your feet on the pegs, not the ground. There’s only one way to know how well this system works… Get out there and rack up some miles!
Color is one of the most emotional issues faced in the refinish & paint business. Everyone has an opinion about color. Unfortunately everyone sees color slightly differently and this can be the cause of discussion. The biggest problem is that of color variants. Cars and motorcycles are no longer produced in fixed colors, but come from the manufacturing plants in a range of shades of a particular color.
At the OEM plants, there are a multitude of reasons why variants may occur. These reasons include the paint system being used, the line speed, line trials, line problems, plant differences and variations in film builds. No matter how hard OEM manufacturers try to duplicate paint results from unit to unit in any given color, there will always be paint variations! No matter how much time and money OEM paint companies spend on making sure their colors are consistent from batch to batch in both OEM paint and refinish formulas, there will always be paint variations.
Variations in the production of paint can also contribute to variations in a particular color code. As research and technology allow, new chemistries and resins may be introduced into a particular product line at any given time. This may allow for a slight color shift when a plant empties a container of existing material and orders more from the supplier.
Also during the manufacturing process, the potential exists for slight differences in the final product. The manufacturing process requires a lot of equipment, settings, human control, and other factors and any slight change in any one of those components may contribute to the slight deviation. The final paint product may be well within the specifications for that product but be slightly different from a previous batch.
PPG (Corbin’s main paint supplier) monitors color consistency directly at the OEM plants whenever possible and also out in the “real world” of repair centers. This is done through their Parts program by receiving documentation from distributors, customers and internal sales people.
This constant feedback of color information allows PPG to identify colors that consistently do not match the OEM standard. They then create a variation (redder, greener, lighter, darker, etc.) of the Prime formula that will provide a better match in some cases than the prime formula.
When a paint technician is looking up a color using any PPG Color Information System they check to see if a Variant formula exists. This can save a great deal of time and provide better consistency. Corbin uses the PPG TouchMix computer to provide the best possible match to your OEM paint. However, given variances at the OEM level, we cannot guarantee a perfect match at all times.
