The truly hot setup for your Dual Sport bike! Our saddle design combines the functionality of a motocross seat with the comfort of ergonomic Corbin design. The KTM EXC series is more than a stone’s throw in design from it’s overweight twin shock counterparts from the 1970’s. Here’s a street legal motorcycle that rides like a true dirt bike… Naturally, you’ll want your accessories to perform to those same standards. Our Dual Sport saddle does just that by providing aggressive riding characteristics with comfortable ergos for those moments of smooth clear pavement.
Today’s Dual Sport ride expects you to overcome terrain formerly reserved for only the most radical off-road machines. KTM is well known for adapting their intense motocross machines for this purpose just as well as Corbin is known for creating comfort. We know you have to keep your body moving if you don’t want to unexpectedly part company with your bike so the shape provides free movement from rear fender to tank. Notice how you’ll be able to slide all the way up the tank to coax your bike through that sandy corner or unhindered all the way back to the fender and skim over the whoops.
As your map leads you to the paved miles, just slide back toward the rear of the seat for a sculpted bucket shape. This dished shaping creates more square inches of body contact for added support and elimination of hot sport. Have a seat and soak up your highway miles in comfort while you catch your breath from that last leg of the event. The Corbin saddle also works excellent if you plan on throwing some street tires on your bike and making a Super Motard, hooligan commuter!
Any Dual Sport rider that’s made it past the first checkpoint can tell you that foam density makes a difference: Too soft and you feel like you’re bouncing off the basepan, too hard and you may as well be sitting on the fender. We use our exclusive Comfort Cell® foam to cast a shape that gives you the proper blend of resilience with long lasting support. Our ergonomic shape provides plenty of lateral support when you slide rearward and is sculpted narrower in the front for ground reach and mobility.
On top we use only the highest grade of weather resistant materials for durability and long life. You know we couldn’t stop there, so we dressed it up in a Carbon-Fiber embossed vinyl seating that gives it a bit more flair with our new Asphalt side panels for grip. Cover is completely hand sewn and riveted to our rigid Fibertech basepan. Naturally, the material selection is completely up to you even is you just want a plain black saddle… we aim to please. Corbin’s Dual Sport saddle installs with a single bolt and rides on rubber bumpers to protect your bodywork and chassis.
Inside we use our high density Comfort Cell® foam for firm support that won’t break down while you’re riding. Comfort cell® is one of the critical elements to Corbin’s legendary saddle comfort. Over 36 years of saddle making experience goes into the production of the Corbin seat and we carefully choose the specialty materials used in their manufacture.
Please note, we tooled up our basepan on a bike that already had a Baja Designs dual sport kit in place and we left room for battery and such. We have not been able to test our saddle with ALL available aftermarket accessories or Dual Sport kits.
